You may have read or heard on the news about schools being closed due to concerns over safety related to RAAC (Reinforced Autoclave Aerated Concrete).

When concerns were raised about RAAC and its associated safety concerns a few years ago, the Holy Cross Catholic MAC took the decision to undertake full intrusive surveys of all MAC schools except St Thomas More (Built in 2011). An independent structural engineering specialist completed the surveys.

We are pleased to confirm that no RAAC was found by the independent engineering specialist and we are not affected by this issue.

All our schools will open as planned next week (Tuesday 5 September 2023)
